Hovedbygningen er hvidpudset og flankeres af to lavere sidefløje med røde tegltage. De store avlsbygninger i røde mursten er fra 1880'erne.<br /> <br /> Edelgaves fine landskabspark blev skabt i begyndelsen af 1800-tallet. Der er slyngede stier, søer og vandløb. Parken blev forbundet med udsigtspunkter i det åbne land. [[Gyngehøj]], der ligger i nærheden, blev i tidens stil omformet til et oldtidsromantisk anlæg. Der blev plantet alléer og anlagt stendiger mellem hovedgården og højen. Voldstedet [[Smørholm]] blev hegnet og beplantet. <br /> <br /> Edelgave er brugt som lokation i flere danske film.
